An international space mission lands on the moon and discovers to everyone’s great stupefaction, a Union Jack, with a document, dated 1899, declaring the moon property of Queen Victoria. A British citizen beat them to the moon 65 years earlier. Back on earth, UN investigators dig out one of the survivors of the British expedition, who tells them of the invention that enabled them to travel to the moon, and of their discovery of an insect-like lunar people.
